was founded in 1974 by
Godfrey Pernell, DDS, the "Originator of Prepaid
Dentistry". In 1947 after graduating from the
University
of Illinois and serving his time as a dentist in the US
Navy, Dr. Pernell purchased a dental practice with
aspirations and dreams that eventually afforded him a
brighter vision for the future delivery of dental care. His
social awareness and ongoing community involvement as a
public servant for local governments, has made him a visible
leader throughout Southern California. In the 1950's,
unions contracted with Dr. Pernell's full service office,
and a new concept of prepaid dental care was conceived.
